SPEC-COM Algérie is the telecommunications service provider selected by Algeria Telecom, the incumbent national telecom operator, to develop a triple play service on FTTx networks.

SPEC-COM selected Netgem’s hardware and middleware technology for the deployment of SAFIR, its IPTV service.

SAFIR is the first IPTV service on FTTx networks to be deployed in Algeria.

The main features include:

• 60 IPTV channels

• HD 1080p set-top boxes

• Superb True Color graphics

• Enabling technology supporting future services
