SUSTAINABILITY & ENVIROMENTAL POLICY
Netgem is concerned with the impact of its product and operations on the environment. Netgem has thus begun implementing a series of changes to how its set-top boxes are manufactured, operated and transported to reduce Green House Gaz emissions by 20% by 2012.
The reduction in emissions will primarily come from changes within the manufacturing process and from the introduction of ‘low power’ functions within the devices, as now required by EU regulation. A reduction is also being achieved with changes to how Netgem transports freight.
